Installation instructions back

You can install your desktop background on a Windows system as follows (with other systems, the procedure is correspondingly similar):

Variant 1

Here the background picture will be overwritten when you subsequently install another one.
  1. Left-click the desired background picture.
  2. The picture will appear in the browser window.
  3. Right-click the picture and select the “Set as Background” option. (N.B. This option might be called something different depending on the browser; in this case, select the appropriate function.)
  4. The picture is automatically activated as your new desktop background.

Variant 2

Here the background picture is stored on your PC even when you subsequently install another one.

  1. Left-click the desired background picture.
  2. The picture will appear in the browser window.
  3. Right-click the picture and select the “Save Picture As” option. (N.B. This option might be called something different depending on the browser; in this case, select the appropriate function.)
  4. Save the .jpg file into your Windows directory (C:\Windows\).
  5. Right-click on a free area on your desktop.
  6. Select the “Properties” option from the pop-up menu, and in the dialogue box that appears, click on the “Desktop” tab.
  7. Click on the “Browse...” button and select the background picture that you previously saved (see point 4).
  8. Under “Settings”, you can determine the various screen settings.
  9. To accept the background picture, click on “OK”.

The image will now be saved in the list of themes (see points 5 und 6). Now you can install another background picture and come back to the Rega picture at a later date, as a described under points 5-9.
